Adventure-tober 2024 - Can You Finish in the Top 5!?
Autumn 2024 in the Mid-Atlantic is about to get very Adventure-y; with 3 premier adventure races held along the coast in 3 back-to-back weekends in October.
We want to award to most adventuresome who challenge themselves to conquer multiple courses, each with its own various terrain and navigation.
What is at Stake? $100 to the Top 5 individuals in each gender.
Why individuals and not teams? We know its hard to race multiple weekends in a row, not to mention getting the same teammates for 3 weekends in a row; so that's why we're going to award individuals for this series. This will allow you to compete with different teams/teammates or even as a soloist for the different races.
Which Races Count Toward the Series?
- October 12 - STORM the Eastern Shore (24-hour)
- Delmarva Adventure Sports
- October 19 - Fall Foliage Adventure Race (14-hour & 4-hour)
- Broad Run Off Road
- October 26 - Two Rivers Adventure Race (30-hour)
- Rootstock Racing
Series FAQ:
How do I Enter the Series? Just sign up for the races. If you register for at least 2 of the races in the Series you are automatically entered/eligible for the Series awards. Results from the races will automatically be compiled together for Series results. Just make sure you register using the same name/spelling for each race.
What if I am on different teams or racing with different people at the different races? No problem, the awards for the series are being done by individual racer, so you can race in a different division or with different teams or even as a soloist for the different races. Your series rankings points earned will be based on your overall race finish place.
How are points scored? How many points do I get for different places? For this series we will be using the USARA Individual Power Ranking points system. Which means while all races will score you points, the longer racers earn slightly more points, and finishing higher in a race awards more points. Overall placement within a race will be used. You can see a full breakdown of how points are scored on the USARA website.
Do I have to be present at the end of the 3rd race to collect my prize? No, while we'd love for you to be there for pictures and such, if you are not able to be present at the 3rd race, we will find a way to get the award to you.
